My husband and I were extremely pleased with our stay here as part of our Great Allegheny Passage trip. Gail was very enthusiastic about her role as host, and she took great pride in cooking and preparing breakfast. I enjoyed that she sat with us, as well. The room in which we stayed was brightly colored and cheerful, and I appreciated all the personal touches and bike-themed decorations. I highly recommend The Inn on Decatur and would definitely return again.
Clean, spacious, well-equipped, reasonably priced, bicycle friendly accommodations in a quiet neighborhood about a 5 minute bike ride from the Amtrak station. I could stop there and simply say, “highly recommend”. But if I did I would be remiss in not mentioning Gail, the owner. Not only did she prepare a breakfast I will not soon forget (pro tip- arrive very hungry), when my wife and I encountered a small problem in our GAP trail bike itinerary, Gail did not simply suggest a solution. Rather, she was on the phone making arrangements to ensure our situation was resolved and our trip was not interrupted. Thank you, Gail! Now, because it bears repeating, I will say highly recommend.
Gale was a perfect hostess and chef. Best breakfast your trip if biking to DC. The house was very well kept up with and had the cutest biking decor. So many bathrooms and showers that you wouldn't be bothered even if the house was completely booked. Very nice stay after a long ride.
If you're planning an overnight stay in Cumberland this is absolutely where you need to stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and convenient to the train station and C&O/GAP. We stayed at Gail's place on our first night in town before embarking on the C&O. We returned to Cumberland via train at the end of the week and stayed again in Gail's B&B. The breakfast she serves is amazing. We highly recommend The Inn on Decatur.
We stayed at this place on the evening before a bike tour along the Great Allegheny Passage Trail. This was the best bed & breakfast experience we've had along the route. The room we had was spacious, beautiful and featured a number of little touches that made the experience memorable. Gail was fantastic in her role as host. Aside from a large-sized breakfast fit to see us through the day, she also made for great conversation and provided a number of good tips. And perhaps even more important, she stocked us well for the upcoming ride, which turned out to be a godsend - the first day was incredibly challenging with sustained 20 mph headwinds. I'm not sure we would have made it up to the Continental Divide without this boost.
Incredible host! Gail was a wonderful communicator and so very generous. After our completion of the GAP trail from Pittsburgh, she facilitated getting us to a local pool and awesome restaurant! The perfect end to our adventure. Perfect accommodation and hospitality. Would highly recommend!

Gail is a wonderful host who has the cutest BnB in town! The place is immaculate and decorated with antiques. Everything is provided for a contact stay and breakfast is plenty and there is variety of food including fresh fruit! Highly recommend this place if you are planning to bike the GAP trail.
